The Haven at Islands Counseling Services, INC is the 501(c)(3) branch of our organization. The Haven represents our interest in reaching anyone who is in need of counseling or case management services. As a non-profit, we are able to access grants and donations to allow us to scholarship patients in need of services who are finding that finances are standing in the way of accessing mental health care.
Mission Statement
To make quality mental health counseling services accessible in our community and increase the quality of outcomes through counselor education and case management services.
The Haven at Islands Counseling was established after we continued to see a need for people to obtain therapy but they were unable to access services. We determined that the problem was 3-fold: limits to funding, limited therapists available in the area, and an inability to access community resources needed to reduce the external reasons for poor mental health.

By creating the 3 pillars of The Haven at Islands Counseling, we are attempting to address all of those needs through access to therapy, educating new counselors and therapists, and providing case management as needed to gain access to community resources.
Through grants and donations, we plan to utilize the clinical services already available at Islands Counseling Services and continue to grow access to those services.
Please consider supporting our mission by donating today!

Executive Resource Director
Georgia native Rae Robertson has always been fascinated by the culinary world. She fondly remembers cooking with her grandmothers as a young girl, and today, she recognizes the gravity these special moments held in cultivating her deep passion for the culinary arts. These moments would ultimately inspire Robertson to become a chef. Robertson attended the Arizona Culinary Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona, before eventually returning to the East Coast to gain experience in various Southern kitchens. Among the professional experiences for which she is most proud, she marks starting the “family meal” at The Fat Radish in Savannah as one of the ways she has fulfilled her mantra of “building relationships through food.” Becoming somewhat of a tradition, Robertson has proudly carried this endeavor with her in every kitchen she has worked in thereafter. Robertson’s commitment to building relationships through food is something that drives her in her role today. She has served in several leadership positions throughout her career and maintains that respecting one another is one of the leading factors in being a successful team. She is thrilled to serve as one of the inaugural team members of The Darling Oyster Bar in Savannah and looks forward to working alongside the team – which has already become more like family – day in and day out. When she’s not in the kitchen, Robertson takes every opportunity to spend quality time with her beloved husband Kalan, their four beautiful children Zerek, Khalessia, Hendrix, and Nyoka, her sister Brea and niece Ellie. Their favorite pastimes include camping, having movie nights, and impromptu karaoke parties, but truly enjoy any chance where they can all be together.
